I am leaving my 30s and heading into my 40s and I am all together freaked out about it. I'm a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and a mother of two fur babies. I am addicted to pinterest, reality TV, bargain shopping, and books. I love my friends, family, and food. My husband still gives me butterflies when he smiles at me (sometimes peaceful flutterings; sometimes angry swarming...but butterflies none the less.) I'm a middle school science teacher...within a day I can marvel at how truly awesome my job is and at the same time feel as if I have just survived a rumble in a gang war!

I am an old soul in a 20-something body. I am a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and mom of a mischevious labrador (mixed with Great Dane). I love most sports. I am proud to be a fourth grade public school educator (applause please or groans). People would describe me as straightforward, loyal, and fun. My husband is my best friend, and throughout the years I have really learned to value my family and friends.

At 47, I am the oldest of the broads, but with age has come a wisdom that alluded me in my twenties and thirties. As I near my 50's (sigh!), I am now comfortable in my own skin and realize that the relationships we cultivate are by far the greatest treasure we have in life. I am blessed to have a strong faith that has sustained me at times when the road was not easy and tremendous friends who have made the journey oh-so-much-FUN! I am proud to be a daughter, sister, wife, friend, but I have easily loved being mother to JD, SP, MA, and MF most of all. My passions (teaching, being Irish, playing golf, cheering ND football, and lamenting IU basketball) run deep and I am the most competitive person I know. My newest love is our sweet Irish terrier named Teine (which is Irish for Fire).
