Sometimes you get so caught up in living life...that you forget to enjoy it! In September our goal is to get out in our town of Monticello, Indiana and be a TOURIST...to simply ENJOY what our town has to offer.

The Three Broads started this adventure at a charming, local winery...The Whyte Horse.

The Whyte Horse Winery offers free samples of award winning wines. Come in...taste...and enjoy this old farmhouse experience. The tasting room has a handmade cherry bar, the gift shop has unique antiques, and all the wines are made on site. You can even order wines from their website.

One great thing about Whyte Horse is that you can be a wine expert or novice and still feel comfortable here. The staff is informative, cheerful, and down right FUN!! Another great thing about the winery is the atmosphere. We chose to sit in the sun room to sip our wine and munch on our cheese plate. We could have also sat outside on the wrap around porch or in rocking chairs out front.

But the BEST part of our Whyte Horse adventure was Jeff Bird. He had us laughing and smiling!

He claims to be full-bodied just like his favorite Whyte Horse wine...if you want to know which one is his favorite...then stop in!!

Jeff encouraged us to try their port-style wine with toasted caramel and honey flavors....it was AMAZING! (There is a cost, $3, for this taste....completely worth it!)

It is no wonder that they named this Serendipity...because the chance that we tried this port-style wine made us HAPPY!

The Three Broads have very different tastes in wines and yet we found a lot of common ground at the Whyte Horse.

Cheers!
