This time of year we get caught up in gift-giving and how much money we spend for each person. The true meaning of Christmas gets buried under tinsel, bows, and gift wrap. The Three Broads thought we would highlight ten easy ways to spread Christmas cheer.

  1. Say “Hello” and smile at everyone you see

  2. Send a handwritten note to someone you know or someone you don’t (think nursing homes or students taking finals)

  3. Send a care package to someone who is missing their family for Christmas (military, people in the hospital, college students, etc.)

  4. Invite someone to join you for a walk, coffee, or church services

  5. Pay it forward (treat the person behind you in line at the local coffee shop or fast food restaurant)

  6. Serve at a soup kitchen or donate non perishables to a food pantry

  7. Check with your local school or homeless shelter to see what the patrons of those organizations need (gloves, hats, coats, etc.)

  8. Send something positive/complementary to three people every day this week

Have you spread any Random Acts of Cheer? Well, then tell us about that cheer! What did you do to brighten someone's day?

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
