For the Love of a Dog

As you know by now, the Curious Three Broads LOVE their dogs, and since February is the month of love we are dedicating our posts to the four-legged loves of our lives. We are kicking the month off with a book review of Lost Dogs: Michael Vick’s Dogs and Their Tale of Rescue and Redemption. We know, we know, this does not sound like a fun read. However, we all read this novel and had similar reactions.

First of all, the story of the lives those dogs lived while in Vick’s care is gruesome. There is no way to get around it. If you read this book, and we hope you do, you will reach a point when stopping and burning the book is the best option. Don’t do it! It gets better.

Essentially you learn that dogs learn behaviors which are encouraged. You will also learn to have a respect for pit bulls. Finally, you will learn that dogs love unconditionally and simply want that love in return.

Truthfully, we felt almost every emotion while reading this book. It is a true story of redemption. Enjoy!

Meet the Three Broads

Sassy. Fun. Adventurous. Curious?
